How to apply, step by step

  1. Secure admission and gather apostilled documents
  2. Apply at the Spanish consulate or BLS centre; processing up to 1 month
  3. Travel and apply for the TIE card within 30 days of arrival
  4. Register your address at the local town hall

Financial evidence

100 percent of the IPREM per month, about €600, or €7,200 a year, plus fees. Education loans from recognised lenders are accepted. Money must be in your name or a parent's with a consent letter, and statements must be recent. Our loan partners issue sanction letters that visa offices recognise.

After you graduate

Residence permit for job search or entrepreneurship: 12 months. Apply before your student permit expires; can be converted to a work permit once hired.

Working on a student visa

Up to 30 hours a week, compatible with studies. Minimum wages of €9.26 an hour minimum wage (2025).
