Edinburgh Napier gives you Scotland's capital without the entry grades of its ancient university. It is named after John Napier, the inventor of logarithms, and is known for applied computing, engineering, business, nursing, tourism and creative industries.

Three campuses spread across the city: Merchiston for computing, engineering and creative subjects; Craiglockhart, a former hydropathic hotel, for the business school; and Sighthill for health and life sciences.

The university has a strong record with international students from India, Nigeria, Pakistan and China and runs January intakes across many postgraduate programmes.
