Cyprus offers English-taught degrees inside the EU at moderate fees, a safe island lifestyle and universities with strong business, hospitality, health science and IT programmes. It suits students who want European recognition without the cost of northern Europe. Post-study work rights are more limited than elsewhere, so we are honest about the trade-offs.
Cost
Tuition of €6,000 to €12,000. Medicine at the University of Nicosia runs to €20,000 or more. Living costs of €650 to €1,000 a month.
Entry requirements
A recognised bachelor's degree, usually at second-class honours or 55 to 65 percent depending on the university, English at IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, and a statement of purpose. Some programmes add work experience or a portfolio.
