Most universities in Mauritius accept IELTS, PTE Academic and TOEFL, with typical requirements of IELTS 6.0 for undergraduate and 6.5 for postgraduate study (7.0 for health, law and teaching). Test waivers are less common; budget for a test.

Degrees from branch campuses are awarded by the home university and recognised wherever that university's degrees are. Check accreditation by the Higher Education Commission of Mauritius.
