How to apply, step by step
- Accept the offer and pay fees; the university submits your EMGS application
- Receive the Visa Approval Letter (VAL) in 4 to 8 weeks
- Enter Malaysia and complete the post-arrival medical check
- Collect your Student Pass sticker within the first weeks

Financial evidence
No fixed amount; universities require fee payment before EMGS approval. Education loans from recognised lenders are accepted. Money must be in your name or a parent's with a consent letter, and statements must be recent. Our loan partners issue sanction letters that visa offices recognise.
After you graduate
Graduate Pass: 12 months. Available to graduates of selected universities; otherwise employers sponsor an Employment Pass.
Working on a student visa
20 hours a week during semester breaks and holidays of more than 7 days, in approved sectors. Minimum wages of RM 8.17 an hour minimum wage (2025).
