University of Windsor
The University of Windsor sits on the Detroit River, directly across the water from Detroit, which puts it at the centre of North America's automotive and manufacturing corridor.
About Windsor
Its engineering, computer science and business programmes are its largest, and its Master of Engineering programmes have long been popular with South Asian applicants.
Windsor is a small city, and that is the point: rent is a fraction of Toronto's, and the university is the centre of local life.

Questions about Windsor
Why Windsor over Toronto?
Money. Rent is roughly half, tuition is lower, and the work permit at the end is the same. Toronto has the bigger job market, so the trade is convenience against cost.
Is the May intake genuine?
Yes, on many programmes. It is the reason a number of our students who miss September still start the same year.
How close is Detroit?
A bridge or a tunnel away, but crossing needs a US visa. Plan around Canadian opportunities, not American ones.
What does the study permit need?
An acceptance letter, a provincial attestation letter where required, proof of funds and biometrics. The rules changed recently, so we work from the current guidance at the time you apply.
