The University of Limerick sits on both banks of the River Shannon on a single green campus, and it built its reputation on one idea: students should work before they graduate.
About Limerick
Its Cooperative Education programme is the longest running in Ireland. Most undergraduates spend eight months in a paid placement, and the university's employer network across pharma, medtech and software is the reason many of our students choose it.
Engineering, computing, business and health sciences are its strongest schools, and the campus itself is among the best equipped in the country.

Questions about Limerick
Why Ireland rather than the UK?
Ireland is in the EU, teaches in English, and gives master's graduates up to 24 months to find work. Tuition often sits below comparable UK courses. The catch is housing, which is tight and expensive.
Is accommodation really the problem people say?
In Dublin, yes. Limerick is easier, and the university owns around 2,800 rooms on campus. We apply for accommodation at the same time as the course, not after.
What do I need for the Irish student visa?
An offer, proof of fees paid, private medical insurance and evidence of at least €10,000 available for living costs. We prepare that file with you.
Can I work while studying?
Yes, 20 hours a week in term time and 40 hours during holidays on a Stamp 2 permission.
