Questions about TMU

What is the Post-Graduation Work Permit?

An open work permit after you finish, valid for up to three years depending on how long your programme ran. Eligibility rules have tightened in recent years, so we confirm your specific programme qualifies before you apply.

Is Canada cheaper than the US?

Usually, yes, on tuition. Toronto and Vancouver rents narrow the gap. We give you the full-year figure either way.

What proof of funds does the study permit need?

Tuition for the first year plus living costs set by the government, held in a Guaranteed Investment Certificate or an accepted account. The living-cost figure is reviewed annually.

Can my spouse come with me?

Spousal open work permit rules have narrowed and now depend on your programme and level. We check the current position rather than assuming.
