Questions about RMIT
How much money do I need for the Australian student visa?
Evidence of tuition plus living costs at the figure set by the Department of Home Affairs, which is reviewed regularly. We work from the current figure at the time you apply, not an old one.
Is the Genuine Student requirement difficult?
It replaced the old Genuine Temporary Entrant test and asks you to explain your course choice and your plans in writing. It is the part of an Australian application we spend most time on.
Can I work while studying?
Yes, up to 48 hours a fortnight in term time, and without limit during scheduled course breaks.
Why Melbourne rather than Sydney?
Melbourne is slightly cheaper, has a very large student population, and RMIT is in the city centre. Sydney has the larger finance job market.
