IU International University of Applied Sciences
IU is Germany's largest university by enrolment, teaching on campus in Berlin, Bad Honnef and several other cities, and by distance learning worldwide.
About IU
Its campus programmes are taught in English and are built around business, technology, data and health management, with flexible start dates that suit students who miss a main deadline.
Because it is large, its admissions process is quick and predictable, which matters if you are applying late for an intake.

Questions about IU
What makes IU different?
Scale and flexibility. Four intakes a year and a fast, predictable admissions process, which helps if you are applying close to a deadline.
Is the distance-learning degree the same as the campus one?
The qualification is accredited either way, but a student visa requires on-campus study. We only advise the campus route for visa applicants.
How much money do I need for the visa?
The blocked account amount set by the German government, currently around €11,900 for a year, plus your first tuition instalment.
Will I find work after graduating?
The 18-month job-seeker permit gives you time. Engineering, IT and health roles are the most open to English speakers.
