Arizona State is one of the largest public universities in the United States, spread across several campuses around Phoenix, and it admits far more international students than the highly selective private universities do.
About ASU
Its engineering, computing, business and journalism schools are strong, and its scale means the course list is enormous.
Most of our students pick ASU for a practical reason: entry is achievable with good rather than exceptional results, and many STEM degrees qualify for the longer post-study work extension.

Optional Practical Training gives 12 months of work authorisation, and eligible STEM degrees can extend it by a further 24 months.

Questions about ASU
Is the US affordable?
It is the most expensive of our seven destinations. Four years of undergraduate study is a large commitment, so we usually look at a two-year master's first unless your budget is comfortable.
What is OPT and STEM OPT?
Optional Practical Training is 12 months of work authorisation after you graduate. If your degree is on the government's STEM list you can apply to extend it by 24 months, giving three years in total.
Do I need the GRE?
Many ASU master's programmes waive it for applicants with strong results. We check the current position for your specific programme before you book a test.
How hard is the F-1 visa interview?
It is short and it turns on two things: that you are a genuine student and that the money is real and documented. We rehearse it with you.
